The great moments and experiences which I will cherish forever.



Sometimes, I am sent in the stewarding section wherein I need to wash and segregate kitchen plates, utensils, pots, etc. Even though I am assigned in this job, I still learn from this experience because for me to be an aspiring chef, you need to expose yourself to different kinds of works in the kitchen.

These moments and experiences which I gained from this property, Le Parc Hotel Obernai, served as a good foundation for my career as an aspiring chef. These are also the things that I will cherish in my whole life. As an aspiring chef, I also want to build my own restaurant or be a head chef of a hotel. This is only the start of my career as an aspiring chef and I will work harder to aim my dreams and be successful.

I also want to thank my school, Enderun Colleges, for giving such a wonderful opportunity not just for me but all of their students. Also to the chefs that taught me techniques and methods in the kitchen during classes, but I want to thank my adviser, Chef Martin Kaspar, who really supported me from the day I departed on the way to France until I arrived back home in the Philippines. Enderun really provided me with a very quality education and I can say that I wouldn’t be me right now if it is not about the greatness of the school.

Overall, this internship for me was very challenging but very exciting as well. It is challenging because first of all, you are far away from home and your family, second, I need to be independent and know how to do things on my own, third, the language barrier is a big problem. It is also exciting because I get to learn a lot of things and expose myself to other parts of the country in order for me to see the other parts of my culinary journey. After this internship, now I can proudly say that I got a good foundation for the start of my culinary adventure.
