What are the challenges i've been through?
I’ve been though a lot of challenges in this hotel, especially during my first few weeks because I have no idea how the routine in the kitchen is works. No one in the kitchen teaches you what you need to know except yourself. I am just lucky that I already have co -interns who are willing to guide me. The toughest challenge for me is that the language barrier between me and other chefs in the kitchen because they are so bad in speaking English or even worst that they don’t speak nor understand English at all. That is why I am just winging it with their actions even though sometimes it doesn’t work. Since I took French 1 (Elementary French), this really helped me a lot even though I cannot speak fluently, at least I can understand them a bit. So for me, it is really important to take these foreign language classes seriously because it is really worth it.
