First Sunday brunch buffet

For my first internship, I was accepted in Le Parc Hotel, Restaurant, and Spa which is located in Alsace Obernai, France. Having my first internship is very exciting and very nervous especially it is an international internship. It is my first time being away from my family and it was hard for me to adapt in another culture, weather, and company. I was welcomed warmly by my fellow intern and my schoolmate Chrissy Bernardo who went there first and fetched me in the train station when I arrived. I am very lucky that there is already someone I know who is already working in the property because she can teach me the procedures in the hotel. I was assigned in the kitchen department wherein I am required to help out in all the stations in the kitchen, where ever the most station needs help.

During my first month, I am having a very hard time to adapt with the new culture, people, and work environment because it is my first internship and I have no experience working in a professional kitchen except in school. Although, I did a lot of volunteer work which has some culinary work but not that much unlike in this internship that we are really serving people and we need to maintain the quality for the reputation of the hotel.
